OnlineFirst Access Priorities
Frequently Asked Questions
We have gone to great lengths to design an online banking
system that functions simply and reliably. If, however, you experience
trouble with our system, we are always ready to help.
First, check these common questions and their corresponding answers
for the most immediate solution. Then if you need additional
assistance, try either a call to any Firstbank branch or online
assistance.
Is there a fee for OnlineFirst
banking?
There are no fees. Set up the account at any location, sign in, and
you get direct access to the convenience, information and assistance
you need to handle most of your daily banking activities. With a
checking or savings account, you receive online services 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week, simply, safely and for FREE.
How do I access my account
online?
To set up online access to your account, visit any of our
locations, fill out the application, and a customer service
representative will show you how to use the system.
Once access is set up, users simply go to Firstbank’s website,
enter the user name and password in the sign-in block at the upper
right-hand corner of our home page, and hit the “Go” button.
For security purposes, memorize your sign-in information. Do not
share your user name or password with anyone or keep them written in a
place where others may find the information.
What kinds of transactions can be
made online?
Firstbank customers may transfer funds between accounts, schedule
transfers, schedule and pay bills, and initiate stop payments.
With OnlineFirst, you can also view: account balances, current and
previous statements, information such as current payment, note date,
maturity date, net payoff, and escrow information on your loans, and
interest and maturity information on your Certificates of Deposit.
What is the daily cut-off time to
complete transactions on the same business day?
Transactions completed before 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday, will
be posted to your account on the same business day.
For Express and One-Time electronic transfers, the transaction is
completed immediately.
Is OnlineFirst compatible with
personal financial software?
Yes, our online system is compatible with Microsoft Money,
Quickbooks, and Quicken.
Who has access to my account?
Only authorized signers on a checking, savings account or loan who have
completed an OnlineFirst application and have a user name and password
can access the information and make transactions.
Again, keep your sign-in information private and secure so that only
authorized users may access your account. Also, never use any type of
“Save Password” feature in your browser or on your computer to prevent
unauthorized access.
Is OnlineFirst secure?
Yes. The OnlineFirst banking system uses the latest encryption
technology to keep all of our customers’ transactions safe and secure.
Your Internet browser must support 128-bit encryption technology and
be SSL compliant.
If you are running a browser older than Microsoft Internet Explorer
6.0 or Netscape Communicator 6.1, some online banking features may not
be available. You may download the latest version from the Microsoft
or Netscape homepage.
Another security feature is automatic termination of an online
banking session after a period of inactivity. For additional safety,
always log out when you finish your transactions.
If you ever feel that your user name or password has been
compromised, please contact us immediately.
What happens if I enter my user name
and password incorrectly?
Passwords are case sensitive. An incorrect password is often
entered when a customer has accidentally pressed the caps-lock button
on their keyboard. As a security feature, when a password is entered
incorrectly three times, the user is locked out of the system.
If this occurs, please visit any of our locations during business
hours to re-set the lockout.
May I change my password?
Yes. Online, choose the Change Password option on the menu bar, or
visit any of our locations and a customer service representative will
help you.
Where can I receive help using
OnlineFirst?
Click on the Online Help button from the menu bar or contact a
customer service representative at any of our branch locations. |
